Peter and the Wolf began as a musical story created by the composer Sergei Prokofiev in 1936, written to introduce children to the sounds of the orchestra. It’s a tale where each character has its own musical voice, so the story feels like it’s being painted in sound. Even now, it’s a wonderful reminder that music can tell a story all by itself.
